In the middle of the vast forests of Drenthe, you will find the magnificent Landgoed het Grote Zand. At this natural holiday resort, you can stay in spacious and luxurious cottages and bungalows. These are detached and fully equipped. We also offer special child-friendly bungalows, these are single-story with a master bedroom and a children's room. During your stay, you can use the extensive facilities at the resort, allowing you to take a dip in the indoor pool or completely relax in the sauna. Children will have fun in the cool playgrounds or in the exciting jungle forest. There is also plenty to do in the surrounding area! You can go for beautiful walks and bike rides in the wooded surroundings. The cozy village of Hooghalen is only 1 km from our resort. You will not be bored for a moment at our child-friendly holiday resort!

To-do's during your holiday with children

During your stay, you can use the cool facilities at the resort. For example, we offer an indoor pool with a separate paddling pool, a sports fields, and a sauna with steam room for ultimate relaxation. Children can have fun in the exciting playgrounds or in the cool jungle forest. During school breaks, cool activities are offered by the Kids Club. After a day full of activities at our resort, enjoy a snack and a drink at one of our appetizing catering establishments. There are also many fun excursions in the area with children. Situated half an hour away is the theme park Plopsa Indoor Coevorden. In the same driving distance, you will find adventure zoo Wildlands in Emmen. Het Grote Zand is a pleasant holiday park for children and offers a wide range of accommodations. Choose from our chalets or bungalows that can accommodate up to 12 persons. For extra relaxation, you can also book a vacation rental with wellness facilities such as a sauna or hot tub. The accommodations offer plenty of space for you to enjoy your stay with your family. It is also wonderful to relax outside in the spacious yard on the furnished patio. Extra benefit: some bungalows have a box bed, which is ideal for the kids!
