Nature

Drenthe is the only place in our country where you can still enjoy an almost untouched natural environment. Landgoed Het Grote Zand borders the vast untouched forests and heaths of the Hooghalen forestry. Deer, hares, squirrels and rabbits can still be seen here every day.

On Landgoed Het Grote Zand, you can roam around for hours on foot or by bike. The park has luxurious detached bungalows and farmhouses, all of which are within walking distance of the central building.

The pleasant central building houses the reception desk, park shop, indoor swimming pool, sauna, solarium, brown cafe, restaurant and two spacious halls. You will find the snack bar, kids club and bicycle rental service in an annex building.

Stay

A good atmosphere, hospitality, tranquility and the beautiful surroundings characterize Landgoed Het Grote Zand. Here, guests are still king and Drenthe friendliness guarantees a hospitable and pleasant stay.

Landgoed Het Grote Zand is only 10 minutes from the A-28 and Beilen station and is open throughout the year.

Reception opening hours

The reception of our Landgoed is opened seven days per week. From Saturdays through Thursdays, we are open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in high season and from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in low season. On Fridays during the summer holidays, the reception is open until 9:00 p.m. and on Mondays during the summer holidays until 8:00 p.m. The reception desk is closed between 12:30 p.m. an d 1:00 p.m. due to our lunch break. Arrival is possible during the above opening hours. If, due to circumstances, you are unable to arrive within these opening hours, please contact the reception.
